The pure granite of the west coast of Elba, with its refined texture and its unique golden color, is world famous. This natural material was considered precious already in Roman times, and exported to build monuments such as the Pantheon and the Colosseum in Rome, the dome of Pisa, and even the Cathedral of Aachen (Germany).

The most ambitious challenge was to achieve the total waterproofing while preserving the integrity of the stone, with its beautiful texture and color, rough and untouched, without overwhelming it with plastic sealing sheets or concrete.
Years of research, innovative techniques, as well as meticulous work in filling micro-cracks reproducing the texture and colors of the granite, made it possible.
The project H2Rock finally emerged in 2019 after works carried out by GPAR Studio. Unique in the world, the infinity-edge swimming pool, is cut to perfection in granite and integrated into the landscape.
